| Comfortex Window Fashions was incorporated in 1986 with the help of others including John Schnebly, one of the original developers of Duette and now president of Decotex 2000. Since the company has transcended its early product development phase and wholesale fabrication phase to become a leading producer of window treatment products with distribution in 15 countries. Comfortex originally developed the Smart Shade solar motorized skylight shade system, which it continues to manufacture for Hunter Douglas. The company has grown from two employees in an aging warehouse to more than 250 employees in three manufacturing sites including it headquarters in Watervliet, NY; its Melbourne, Fl. facility; and its Sparks, NV facility. Comfortex manufactures and distributes its own patented and proprietary products which are marketed under trademarks employing music as its central and unifying theme. The company's premier products include Symphony Double Honeycomb Shades, Acoustic Double Honeycomb Shades and nested Cell Pleated Shades and Woodwinds Wood Alloy Blinds. Comfortex is building upon the foundation it established during its first 10 years by remaining faithful to its mission which is "to develop partnerships with each of our customers, and to conduct our business affairs in a manner by which we will be recognized by them as a total quality leader, producer and supplier to the window treatment industry through the development, productions, distribution and service of innovative, proprietary and new products." Comfortex builds environmentally friendly shades using the  EcoGreen Rating System (PDF) and Greenguard Certification.Comfortex is the leader in these Products: Cellular Shades like the Acoustic Double Cell features a patented Double Honeycomb and single design like the Virtuoso Single Cell, that provides the ultimate in energy efficient insulation for your home. Comfortex cellular shades also block 99% of damaging UV rays and are environmentally friendly. Most Comfortex shades are available in the  Child Safety Cordless System or ComforTrack System which blocks all light and air movement by using a track system. Shangri-La Sheer Window Shadings is an elegant translucent sheer fabric shade which can be positioned fully open, fully closed or anywhere in between for the privacy control you want and unlike any other window shading available can be raised with the vanes still open. Shades are available in Shangri-La 2" Light-Filtering Eternity, Shangri-La 3" Light-Filtering Eternity and the Room Darkening Shangri-La 2" Moonlight and Shangri-la 3" Moonlight collections. Stardust Sheer Window Vertical are a unique and highly innovative soft drapery alternative that provides UV protection, light controls and privacy. Soft, flowing billows are created by the drapery-style fabric that falls smoothly down the length of the window. Each 3 1/2" vane rotates beneath the sheer fabric allowing you to tailor the lighting and privacy to your unique taste. Available in Stardust Sheer Light Filtering Vanes or Stardust Sheer Room Darkening Vanes. Serenade Roman Shades combine the beauty of drapery fabrics with the benefit of window treatment technology. Two styles are available, the classic tear drop and the contemporary flat panel. Both style feature perfectly spaced panels that raise smoothly and nest in an elegant stack under the fabric valance. Harmony Cellular Vertical showcase an exceptional design that combines light weight, dimensional fabric vances with effortless operation. Harmony vanes are soft and have an "elliptical pocket cell" to accommodate a light filtering or room darkening insert.
