Center Gap
The center gap is the distance between fabric panels of
a split stack design when the vanes are open and rotated
as well as closed.

Vane Closure Gap
When Harmony vanes are in the closed potions, they always
overlap but they may not always touch. The vane closure
gap is the maximum distance between closed overlapping
vanes, the vane closure gap is up to 1/2".
Stacking Design
Harmony Sheer Verticals are available in side or split
stack designs. Either design may be mounted inside or
outside of the window opening, The rotation chain and
traverse cord must be placed on the same side and cannot
be split.

Note on Stacking
When Harmony Verticals are in the stacked position the
vanes may flare slightly. This is considered normal and
does not constitute a failure in workmanship or materials.
The possible flare has been shown through case study not
to detract from the beauty of the product.

Measuring
for Vertical Blinds
Measuring
• Measure each window individually, as size variance
are common.
• Record width first, then height (also referred
to as length) to the nearest 1/8".
• Measure width from left to right, height from
top to bottom, using a steel tape. Do not use cloth
tape.

Inside
Mount
• Inside mount shades are installed inside the
window casing. Minimum depth requirements are 4"
- 6". Call or e-mail us for specific details.
• Measure the exact inside width of window casing
from one inside edge to the other in three places (top,
center, bottom). Record the shortest measurement.
• Measure the exact height in three different places
from top edge of opening to top of sill (left, center,
bottom). Record the longest measurement.
• Do not take any deductions for clearance. Allowances
are made at the factory to ensure a perfect fit. Factory
will deduct 3/8" - 1/2" from ordered width
depending on product. Call or e-mail us for specific
details.

Outside
Mount
•
Outside Mount shades are installed outside the window
casing.
• Measure the exact width to be covered. Be sure
the measurement overlaps the window opening at least
3" - 6" on each side to ensure light control
and privacy.
• Measure exact height to be covered, including
desired overlap. (Typically from top edge of molding
to bottom or to the top of the sill if there is one.)
• If mounting above molding, add 1 1/2" -
2" to allow for the headrail. Factory makes no
deductions for an outside mount.
Verticals will be fabricated for
outside mounting to your exact measurements. Be precise!
