Durability
SoftView
Venetian Shades are manufactured
with the polyester material coated with a PVC
compound. The
cloth is in effect protected from the environment. Although
SoftView feels soft like fabric, it wears like
iron! Stiffening rods are inserted into
the pockets on both edges, front & back,
to create the rigidity required to span the ladders
yet create incredible elasticity.....toughness
built right in. Ideal for kids rooms, high
traffic areas of the home.
As
difficult it is to hurt SoftView, its unique
construction allows for a damaged slat to be
easily replaced or even shuffled within the shade
to hide its damage.
 A
car drove right through
the front showroom window of the inventor's
building in Australia. Thank
goodness no one was hurt. However,
the showroom was destroyed. The SoftView
hanging on that window was so light & durable,
it bounced up and out of the way. When
the car was pulled out of the showroom by
the wrecker, the SoftView fell back into
place and still continues to be in use today! Now
that's Tough!

Cleanability
Easy
to clean, SoftView can be lightly
vacuumed. If
required, SoftView Shades can be immersed into
a warm water and mild detergent solution. Each
individual slat can be removed from the shade
for individual cleaning. Or the entire
shade can be immersed into a cleaning solution
if needed. For a more thorough cleaning,
SoftView Shades can be ultrasonically
cleaned using mild cleansing solutions.
Right from the factory, Tri-Guard protects against most stains, static buildup, and mildew.

 Care
and Maintenance
Tri-guard,
an anti-static, staining, and mildew protectant,
resists dust and dirt accumulation. Occasional
dusting with a feather duster should be
all the maintenance required. If deeper
cleaning is needed, the shade can be lightly
vacuumed with a brush attachment or cleaned
with a damp cloth. Each individual slat
can be immersed in a warm water and mild
detergent solution if needed. A rinse with
clean water should follow.
