This is how to paint walls like a pro. VIDEO
Watch how a professional painter paints walls. John Burbidge has got some great tips you probably haven't heard yet. He's the author of the book Watching Paint Dry.
Here are two of my favorite tips.
When cutting a color along the edge of a white ceiling, don't try to cut exactly on the line. If you undercut the line, the gaps you leave will be very noticeable. Instead paint onto the ceiling by a hair, maybe 1/16 of an inch or less. The edge will look perfect from the center of the room.
Don't forget to remove your tape within a few hours so that it doesn't bond with the paint. I made this mistake once and peeled paint off when removing the tape the next day. For extra insurance, use a putty knife to cut between the paint and tape before you pull it off.
