This small modern farmhouse is actually mobile.

Architect Lewis Butler designed this modern farmhouse for his parents. Before that they were living in a trailer on the farm.

The house is less than 1,000 square feet. Lewis's parents didn't feel like they needed more space than that. They live simply.

The house became so popular that they needed more space for guests. When the price of tomatoes went up, it gave them enough extra cash to build a 600 square foot guest house (I love that they financed the construction with tomato money).

The entire structure can be unbolted from its foundation and moved to a new location – something they plan to eventually do.

Watch the story. It's beautiful.
